It would have been nice to check in before 4.
Fyi, thermostat does not control fireplace heater. Rain comes in through master bedroom window. Grill is propane, not charcoal as described. Clothesline would have been handy. Two garbage cans in kitchen but only one trash bin outside; no instructions for what to do with recycling or deposit containers. We were very comfortable and hope to return

The location is fantastic. Within walking distance of shops, restaurants and beaches. Cottage is rustic but comfortable. Easy to access and friendly. Told them the blinds were broken in one bedroom and they offered to come out right away. Wasn’t necessary and wasn’t urgent, just more of an FYI to fix for the next guests but was nice that they offered to come fix it right away. Again the location is wonderful.

Loved our stay. The cottage provided everything we needed and was in a fantastic location. Communication through their portal was a bit onerous and sometimes didn't work. Responses were slow.

This place is right across from the bay and walking distance to Wellfleet. Lovely outdoor area to sit and eat a meal. Served our needs completely.

Cute little cottage across from Mayo beach. Very attentive property management company with multiple checkins and follow up. Had issue with tv and fireplace and they came that day and fixed. Would rent from Del Mar again!

This rental was beautiful and an amazing location, so close to the water and town! Check in was easy and convenient. The only thing that we were uncertain on based on the listing was what to bring for the kitchen since cooking utensils weren’t mentioned in the listing. Our unit did not have a cutting board which we would have brought had we known.

Cottage was perfect and what was explained to a Tee. Getting a call from the office to check on our first day experience was a really nice touch. Can't wait to return.

This cottage was fabulous! It was super cute and exactly the right amount of space. Beds were super comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and the living space was great. We will definitely be looking to stay again.

Wellfleet is a gem. This cottage is a gem within a gem. Perfect size for two people. Wonderful location across the street from the bay and a short walk into town. It was truly hard to leave!

Stayed for a few days after a busy summer to rest and relax. Great location, walk to pier, bay beach for morning coffee and sunsets.

The location near the beach and Wellfleet Pier was fantastic, especially with a 3 month old. We reported an issue with the door being broken and they had someone out very quickly to repair the problem.

Some of the furniture has been replaced (there is now just a loveseat-type sofa in the living room and three chairs). The fireplace wouldn't ignite and we called Del Mar repeatedly about it, but they were never able to get someone over to fix it. That was a shame since it was quite chilly and rainy at times. There was an electric heater, though. The photos show a night table and lamp in the room with the single bed; that is now gone and should be replaced. Another picture should be added to the listing to show the bedroom with two beds--it's a full-size bed on the bottom with a single on top. We weren't really prepared for bunk beds! The location is great--right across from a quiet Bay beach and within walking distance of town.

I love the bright sunny feel. Since I live in traditional home the cottage feel is a nice change of atmosphere. Very much appreciated the addition of two recliners for my over 80 knees. Hope to be able to do it again!

Just okay
I'll start with the pros. The location of this house is great: right on Mayo Beach and an easy walk to Wellfleet Harbor and Mac's.
The cons...
We are totally fine with tiny houses which this is.(We were two adults and a young child.) During high season, they are charging a heck of a lot for a house that is decorated like a college dorm room with low quality furniture and kitchen supplies. The biggest downer for us is that this house is part of several small houses grouped right next to each other. So there is no privacy if you want to have dinner outside.
Note also, if you have small kids, there are extension cords all over this house. Also, the outdoor shower and washer and dryer are shared with several other houses.
For the money, we will be renting elsewhere in the future.

Great location
Being across the street from Mayo Beach was wonderful. We went in mid-September, and were delighted that traffic past the cottage was almost nonexistent. For my cousin and me, the size of the place was perfect, but it would be tight for more adults. A little more scrubbing would help, but overall the cottage was clean. There are great walks in and around Wellfleet.

Great Location
Brought my wife and 1-1/2 year old son here for a long weekend. The location was great, beach access literally right across the street, P-Town 12 mins down the road. House was good size for us, probably could sleep 4 comfortably. Few things I would say about the house that where not great for us. Lots of extension cords, and unsafe outlets for little kids, the only source of heat, who may need, it is a propane fire place. Again not safe for little people, front glass gets extremely hot, could easily burn someone, very small shower stall, and house could do with some over all updating as well. But over all, it's a lovely little spot, with great views, and a perfect location. I would recommend it to others.

Can't ask for a better location!
We had an amazing vacation at this cottage. It was well maintained and very clean, and the rental company was helpful and easy to deal with. The best part is the LOCATION - right across the street from the beach! I definitely recommend and look forward to coming back.

Great location, area for walking, relaxing, VACATION! Hooray.
We found the cottage very cozy, comfortable beds and pretty well aappointed. Our only complaint would be futon sofa. They are not good for elders, especially with knee replacements!
