Repton Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 5 guests in 2 bedrooms
Situato nell'incantevole villaggio costiero di West Runton con pub, caffetterie e negozi locali, questo elegante cottage d'epoca, recentemente ristrutturato, presenta pavimenti in parquet al piano inferiore, un incantevole stufa a legna, un favoloso giardino, un parcheggio e sistemazioni rilassanti e moderne. La migliore di tutte le premiate spiagge con Bandiera Blu, il campo da golf e la stazione ferroviaria sono raggiungibili a piedi. Piano terra, con porta d'ingresso che conduce in salotto: con woodburner, Smart TV e lettore DVD / BlueRay, e posto vicino al finestrino, che conduce nella sala da pranzo / cucina open space con caratteristica camino e porta che conduce al giardino posteriore. Cucina: piano cottura a gas e forno elettrico, lavatrice, lavastoviglie, frigo / freezer e forno a microonde e radio DAB, porta a doccia con WC e lavabo e porta a giardino posteriore. Porta alla tradizionale scala ripida.
Primo piano: tradizionale scalinata ripida che porta al pianerottolo del primo piano, con porta alla camera matrimoniale con letto kingsize e camino. Corridoio con porta a camera a castello con letto matrimoniale sul fondo e letto singolo in cima. Bagno porta a famiglia: bagno con doccia, WC e lavandino.
Esterno: giardino sul retro con prato e piccolo patio, piccolo giardino anteriore. Parcheggio per la parte anteriore della casa.
Si prega di notare: caso scala ripida tradizionale. Porta delle scale fornita (da Pasqua 2019 in poi). Seggiolone e lettino da viaggio forniti (si prega di portare biancheria letto culla). 2 cani ben educati benvenuti a & pound; 20. 00 per cane a settimana. Asciugacapelli fornito. This is the second year we have stayed at Repton Cottage as our base for walking the Norfolk Coast MacMillan Mighty Hike, which starts just 2miles away in Cromer. It is a generally comfortable and useful base for exploring the north Norfolk Coast with Cromer, Sheringham, and Holt within just a 15min drive - even Wells is only about 35mins away.
The cottage is on a small private estate and the road is unmade - it is safer on your suspension to come in from Boulevard Road than Roseberry Road. The parking is directly in front of the house and they do mean it when they say there is only space for one small car. From the cottage you can walk, via a public foot path, to the beautiful and fossil fascinating West Runton Beach and Deep History Information Point in 5-10 mins.
The cottage itself is generally very well equipped - particularly the kitchen which is a galley. We love the living room window seat for reading and dozing in the sunshine. The little downstairs shower room is very useful. The stairs are steep but there is a rail on the right when going up. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a very large bathroom. Our only real gripes are that the sofa is really not very comfortable with a very low back requiring heavy slouching for any support and that the mattress on the Master bed has bottomed out heavily, oh, and you have to close the curtains to get dressed ... as there is no voile on the Master window.
The little garden is very secure and small but perfectly formed. The cottage is pretty dog friendly with wooden floors downstairs and provision of a bed, bowls and a new dog blanket for every four legged visitor (which you are welcome to take home). Our dog always enjoys his stay.
While we have yet to decide whether we are Mighty hiking again next yea - if we do, we hope the cottage will be available for us again.

A cosy cottage with all mod cons and everything needed is supplied. Kitchen and Bathrooms are very good. Position is very convenient for beach, eateries, buses and walks. Downsides are we found the sofa very uncomfortable and the garden and rear of the property are in need of some TLC.

Set on an unmade private road, the cottage did fulfil its description. Sadly, the cleaning was sub-par with only really surface cleaning completed, dust and cobwebs obvious and the state of the handrail on the stairs was highly unpleasant. (It was much cleaner when we left than when we arrived).It is not the owner's fault that both neighbours had building work going on or that the road was dug up, blocking the access, for gas works...but is did rather damage the peace we had needed after a charity marathon walk. The location gave access to the joys of North Norfolk and is very convenient for all it has to offer. The garden is entirely secure which was very much appreciated. Parking in the area is very limited so don't even consider taking two cars if a mixed group of adults. Also, only one set of keys so very difficult for our mixed age group (50-86) to split up to meet our various interests and needs.
