Great location, nice food, clean
Breakfast timings were limited, so if you’re a walker and want to get off early, there’s no chance. Refused to do a pack up for us. Refused to refund breakfast payment, as we were setting off earlier than 8:30am. Had to go across the road to the other pub who were happy to do a pack up for the next day. I’d stay across the road next time

The ambience and setting were wonderful as were the majority of staff. The gluten free bread and breakfast were also excellent.
Unfortunately the main head in front of house was not very welcoming, was very dour and didn't smile when dealing with customers. The staff were also very overworked because it's rural and difficult to find staff but I do wonder if the presentation of the front of house staff is a factor sadly.
