We've had the pleasure of staying at this house before, so we knew what to expect. Everything is lovely here. Communication is really great, prompt, and easily accessible. Be prepared to hit your stairs goals, as the main living/kitchen space is on the 3rd floor! The giant dining table is perfect for card games at one end and puzzle construction at the other. Wifi worked for everyone, with no lagging. The TV remote had some issues as well, but we were able to download the app it, so we had a workaround. Only critiques would be that the pullouts in the living room and media room were broken and unable to be used, lessening the total number of beds available. Thankfully, we did have a few gals not come, so we weren't in a pinch for sleeping arrangements. Really enjoyed our stay, and will pick this house again and again! Thank you!!

such a great house for a big group! Lots of beds, rooms and bathrooms. Loved the access to the beach. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could imagine and more!

House was great with everything needed. The lock did not open for the jacuzzi, and the game room was dirty, but beds and other rooms were clean. Ocean view from top floor. Had a nice stay.

We loved this house! It worked perfect for our family reunion - we loved that every bedroom had a connected bathroom. Nice views, pretty easy beach access, nice large entertaining space. Only small disappointment was that a couple of the pull-out couches weren't working, which would have been nice.

All 14 members of my family loved the Fair Winds house. The house was exceptionally clean, well stocked kitchen and so close to the beach. All the adults had their own bathrooms. Great place to make life long memories ♥️

Big house in a good location, but overall nothing special. The house wasn’t as clean as you would expect and some stuff was broken like the hot tub cover, ping pong table/net, and the pull out couch as previous reviews mentioned. It looks like at one point someone attempted to duct tape it together, but it didn’t work and it’s basically unusable as a bed. Which was disappointing considering the price to rent this place.

The property was very clean and accurately described. The location was great. We stayed with 3 generations, 14 people in total. There was plenty of room for everyone to have the own space and gather together. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was great and had room for everyone. Please tell future guests that there is a tsunami drill every Wednesday around noon. They may mistake it for the real thing. Thanks for everything!

Wood floors throughout that do not creak, this wonderful home was perfect and met our needs. Each floor seemed quiet, though we had 12 people stay with us.
The rooms are so important for your guests! These rooms had incredible views, linens and bedding that were georgous made with high quality material! Several of these rooms had its own bathroom! The entire property was clean and felt clean!
The Kitchen, on the 3rd floor, was smartly stocked every dish or utensil was readily available. All appliances work! A massive dining table sits in front of a wall of windows to look out over the seascape where you can sit for hours.
This 3rd floor is the most relaxing and inviting flloor. It is big and accommodating, plenty of comfy seating or napping with views of the ocean that won't stop! It has a big TV with an amazing sound system. I love this property I was so satisfied!
We wanted to invite some local family over but due to the limit of people allowed in the house we were prohibited.
The bottom floor had a foosball table, air hockey, and pingpong table and tv with gaming system Brilliant fun room for play!
Over all I can't give this a hire rating. It is good too, because this was a.... "if this isn't good we are not staying at a home property again we will stick to Hotels (yuck)" But it exceeded our hopes and expectations.

The grill is completely worthless and barely useable. The disposal clogged up and maintenance never showed up so we had to get some Drano to clear it up. Otherwise, it was a wonderful house and experience, close to the beach and downtown Lincoln City.

We did call about a few things and it was taken care of right away. Thanks for making our stay a good one again this year. The kids are already talking about next year.

Perfect Location!
This house is gorgeous and is located in the perfect place! Right next to a park with easy access to the beach. 5 minute drive to town. Adults, teens, and kids fully enjoyed the bonus/game room.

Dirty towels were left in the washing machine and all of the towels were left in the dryer. There were no towels in any of the bedrooms. Hot tub area had empty beer bottles hidden in the back corner....
Besides the little things, this house was great! Everyone had their own room and their own bathroom, which made having a huge family together much more comfortable. The kitchen is huge and fully stocked with anything you need.
We would definitely stay here again.

Great place
We were very please with our stay with three exceptions: Barbecue was rusted so it had no bottom to radiate heat and the burner only partially worked. The stove oven was not functioning correctly. We had to call to get the code to unlock the house because it was never sent and there were no instructions for our housekeeping responsibilities before we left - we had to again call. If you desire, I could copy and send you what we received for instructions before we arrived.

Confusion - email contained inaccurate information.
The email sent for check-in was inaccurate. It stated there were 2 parking spots in front but the garage had been converted to a game room. The internet code was incorrect (correct in the binder but wrong in the email). The door code was wrong. We received a text from VRBO at 4 that we could check in but when we arrived the housekeeper sent us away. The towels were still in the washer and some of the linens on the beds were still wet. There was an old (very black) banana peel in the game room along with popcorn on the floor. The space and view were great though.

Great house for a big group!
The house was very nice. The location was nice and close to the beach. Plenty of bedding and towels. The kitchen was well appointed with lots of dishes, glasses, cups and appliances. Loved the big, long dining table where we could all gather together for big meals and games.
The only negative thing was two of the pullout couches were broken so two people had to sleep on the couch instead of in a bed. Also, the outdoor grill is TINY. Not the right size for this house. The wifi information we were given was not correct but luckily we had some techies in our group that got us set up. The app for the house was a nice feature. All in all, we made some great family memories in this house.

Wasn’t cleaned properly
It smelled bad and wasn’t clean at all. I was surprised to see the lack of cleanliness.
I had family guest from Denmark so I was disappointed to find the house the way I found it. Other than that, the house was very spacious and had a wonderful veiw.

Fun Vaca on the Oregon Coast
The Fairwinds Journey is the perfect home for a large family gathering. The kitchen is fully stocked, the kitchen table seats 14, and the view of the ocean/beach area is awesome. The bedrooms all have their own bathrooms and the beds are comfortable. We loved our stay there.

The house was beautiful. A little expensive for the winter. The bedding was dirty in a number of the rooms, and there was not extra sheets, pillows. etc to exchange for the dirty ones. The couches were duct tapes together in areas. The rental company was difficult to work with--I would much rather work with an owner and would probably not look for any other homes with Meredith Lodging LLC unless there was no more homes available. They were not able to help with ANY special requests and everything revolved around money not around the client or customers needs. If they would change their customer service it would be much more pleasant to work with them. I have rented from airbnb, VRBO, Homeaway, small town private/local companies, etc., that have been a much better experience and that I would recommend to family way before this company.

We had 12 people ranging from 1.5 years to 81. The house was set up perfectly for our group. The older ones stayed on the top floor and the younger were able to take advantage of the game room without disturbing the older ones on the top floor. Hot tub was clean and hot enough. The house was very clean and had more than enough dishes/silverware/glasses for all. Great location...easy close walk to the beach.

Our family used this property as our Christmas getaway. The house was very well appointed, had great views and was all around a great house. Our only complaint was the beds were very uncomfortable, and very noisy, enough to wake you up from sleep each time you turned. If that could get fixed, we would use this house again.
