Rental experience and check-in/check-out could not have been easier. We had an issue with the power washing by the Shipwatch HOA which Island Realty took care of. HOA could've done more to inform the short-term and new renters through elevator signs or notices directly on the doors. We definitely enjoyed Shipwatch and hope to return.

Property was beautiful- and we had a wonderful time; however, condo internet was not good and coffee pots were not cleaned. We chose to go purchase our own coffee pot.

Functional but dated-just changing out a few pictures and getting rid of the dry flowers would make a huge improvement. Overall a great place fir the price snd we would stay there again,

Another enjoyable week in IOP.Only drawbacks- floor wasn’t as clean as it could have been and now you are expected to strip the beds yourself or incur an additional fee. Seems like a bit of a reach to require the guest to perform a 5 minute task which is just as easily completed by staff.

We rented this property managed by Island Reality off VRBO. This is a very nice property and has a lovely porch with views of the beach and pool. The check in process and staff in the main Island Reality group were very nice. Having the option of renting beach chairs and umbrellas was a great bonus. I had one (could have been a lot worse) issue. We had left the condo and forgotten the door code and were locked out. Of course this happened after the main office was closed so I attempted to call the emergency line. I was told, despite offering my name and reservation number, that the answering service had no record of my being a guest in the unit (I booked the reservation myself) and would not send anyone out to help us. They told us that we would have to wait until the morning for the main office to open for any further assistance. They also said there was nobody else I could speak with about the lock out issue. I am not sure if all of this was because I had booked through a 3rd party and I understand safety and all. But of course this was very upsetting that there was an answering center taking the emergency calls at night and nobody to assist us. Fortunately the nice on site police officer helped us and all was resolved. Overall this was a nice unit in a great location.

Shipwatch C 316 was a great condo. It was the perfect size for our family of 3. It was very clean and well equipped for cooking. Plenty of family friendly tv channels and a great view of the ocean! There was plenty of parking, and it was very convenient to the elevators. The master shower is very large and there is plenty of counter space. We hope to rent this again next year.

Wonderful Location
The location was really amazing, with excellent views and easy access to the pool and ocean. The furnishings and decor were outdated but still tastefully done. Some of the items are starting to show their age with general wear and tear. My biggest complaint was the internet strength. The most download speed I could get was 3MB barely enough to watch Netflix let alone a family with multiple mobile devices. We had constant issues trying to watch shows or do work from home. Nevertheless since it’s all about the location and the ocean it was only a minor inconvenience.

Our family visited Isle of Palms for the first time and had a great time. The condo was very nice and clean. The beach was great. We were close to Charleston so spent time in the city and on the island. There were plenty of restaurants close by.

The key to a good company is that when something goes wrong that the service provider make it right, right away. About a week into our stay at the condo we rented at Port O Call we experienced an afternoon fire at our rental while we were out at the pool. We heard the sirens, but didn't think anything of it not knowing that the fire was in our unit. I called Island Realty and explained the situation to the front desk and was told to get back in contact with them after the firemen had finished putting it out. I was given Aine O'Brien's phone number and called her back after learning that there was smoke damage and a wall torn out in the unit to get to the root of the fire and the condo was uninhabitable. Fortunately the only things that we lost were a pair of Sketchers and a pair of slippers. Aine came out immediately after I called her back and said that she had relocated us to Shipwatch and texted us the info to get in. After a few hours of packing up the car we moved into C 316.The property was very nice! It had a great view of the ocean and chairs to sit out on the balcony overlooking the pool, a comfortable bed, large shower with plenty of hot water, a well stocked kitchen, very clean, and plenty of room for us. We enjoyed our stay at Shipwatch and particularly Aine's quick response to our circumstances and generous credit to offset the losses we incurred. I don't know what would have happened if we had booked with a VRBO or AirBnb but I don't think that the result would have been the same. Thanks to Aine and her team at Island Realty!!

When we arrived we had an issue with a clogged sink in the main bedroom. The washer and dryer broke in the first of two weeks we were there. Island Realty did pick up and wash our laundry three times. The best part of the condo was the view of the beach and pool. The pool in the complex wasn’t very clean. The complex doesn’t allow golf carts which was a bummer. We would not recommend this unit at this time. Island Realty did a good job trying to deal with the issues.

This cute condo was located near the end of the island in Wild Dunes resort. The view of the ocean was nice and the walk to the beach was easy. The only complaint was the lack of comfort in the guest bedroom. There were no matress pad covers which created a lumpy/hard feeling to the bed and the bottom sheets were not fitted so they came off during the night. Other than that I would recommend this unit.
