From a rustic 18th century farmhouse that was, VILLA VETRICHINA was transformed into an elegant Tuscan country villa with an immense garden, a large private infinity swimming pool, and a beautiful terrace, perfect for outdoor dinings. The charm of the past with refined country antique and vintage furniture joins the modern comforts and luxury furnishings, giving the villa a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
It has been carefully restored with great attention to details, design and modern comforts to reveal the authentic Tuscan craftsmanship of the original walls and wooden ceilings but meeting all the contemporary comforts of a modern house.
Villa Vetrichina is an extraordinary Tuscan refuge exuding warmth and a relaxed refinement, surrounded by gardens scented with aromatic herbs and all sorts of trees and plants, offering shaded terraces and oaks where you can relax and enjoy the essence of the trees and flowers.

The SWIMMING POOL, lit at night, has a depth of between 1.3 and 2.0 metres. The poolside pergola equipped with table and chairs, is ideal for al fresco dining. The area is fenced for added peace of mind. And further up a large sandpit, the joy of children... and parents!

A VEGETABLE GARDEN is also available, and you are more than welcome to help yourself to any of the fresh fruit and vegetables grown by the owner.

Views from here truly take your breath away, embracing the entire Val D'Orcia region, which is considered the most beautiful in Tuscany.
Nature prevails here, it is not difficult to meet foxes, roe deer, wild boars, porcupines and badgers.
A suggestive road in the woods will transport you from everyday reality to a unique dimension... it will be hard for you to leave again!

The property is located in an ideal position at the beginning of the hills of the Val d'Orcia, a world heritage site, and only 2 km from the village of SAN CASCIANO DEI BAGNI, unique for its view of the valle, for its SPAs where the ancient Romans sought their well-being, and now also for the recent Etruscan discoveries which have brought a new wave of visitors.
San Casciano dei Bagni is therefore more and more appreciated for its site of an Etruscan and later Roman sanctuary, currently still under excavation, where archaeologists have recently announced the discovery of a nearly two-meter statue of Apollo Sauroctonos, the god depicted playing with a lizard. A sanctuary with a long history, dating back to the Etruscans. It was associated with water rituals, much like the thermal baths that visitors still frequent in this small Tuscan village. The sacred site was certainly in use until the 5th century CE. You can now visit the site and hopefully soon the museum.
San Casciano dei Bagni has several climbing areas suitable for all levels, from the simplest rock formations to the most challenging vertical walls. The main areas to explore include Monte Cetona, Poggio Bandito e Le Balze del Valdarno.

The Spa of Fonteverde is at 5 min drive.

Halfway between the lakes of Bolsena and Trasimeno, you could head towards the lush hills of Val D'Orcia or the volcanic pastures of Monte Amiata and its famous spa town, Chianciano. And you'll still have time to visit the world-famous cities of Orvieto and Perugia. Furthermore, the villa is strategically positioned to reach Arezzo, Montalcino and Montepulciano.

And if you decide to allow yourself to stay at home, besides laying by the pool you can play ping pong or take advantage of Wi-Fi, PS4 game consol, Smart TV, board games, blue tooth speakers IPod docking station... getting bored will be impossible.

Furthermore, you can reserve fantastic CHEF Francesco to have fun with in the in-villa cooking school and preparing an authentic Tuscan dinner or an evening of pizza. With his help you will be able to enjoy informal cooking classes, full of fun, but in line with the most genuine culinary traditions.
High quality locally sourced ingredients are always used.
This accommodation also offers a barbecue area and a fireplace.

The 6 double bedrooms all have extra-large beds, memory foam mattresses, Italian cotton linen. 1 bedroom has two single beds for children and a bathroom to share with a double room.
The bathrooms with taps by Italian designers, all have large travertine showers and one has a romantic copper tub. All materials used are prestigiuos and design, we kindly ask you to pay particular attention and care.

Two bedrooms on the ground floor with a little living area, have direct exit to the garden. On the first floor a large and comfortable living room with comfortable sofas. Here, a nice cozy terrace offers moments of authentic relaxation.

The ancient walls of the villa offer freshness inside and the furnishings of peasant origin make the house cozy and homely. Two beautiful pellet stoves offer the pleasure of fire in the first autumn evenings and in winter.
Air conditioning is in all rooms, and it is charged by consumption. With a substainable usage you will save money and the ambience.

Upon your arrival you will find:

-There will be, hairdryer, towels, courtesy set in the bathrooms, and pool towels are among the amenities of this holiday home and concierge services.

-On reservation, our fantastic chef is available 6 days a week for lunch or dinner of your choice. The caterer experienced owner can lay or prepares breakfast each morning before cleaning.
