Pierre Hotel

The location is great - on the river, away from the 'music' of Pub St, right next to the ornate bridge.

Thanks for a nice stay at the Pierre. Great location, and the staff were lovely and helpful. The room had an older style but was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked really well. Keep in mind there's a 4% surcharge for card payments, so we paid cash. Thank you!

A great hotel and a great location.

The Wi-Fi/internet (in our two rooms) never worked the whole time we were there.

We had a very pleasant stay at Pierre Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived by tuk-tuk with the whole family during the rain, they immediately came out with umbrellas to help us — a very nice touch. We stayed in a family room on the 4th floor. Unfortunately, the lift was out of order during our stay, so we had to use the stairs. Luckily, the staircase was wide and comfortable, and the staff kindly carried our luggage up and down for us. Breakfast was good and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The main downside was the wooden windows and doors facing the street, which were not very well insulated, so quite a lot of street noise could be heard inside. The location is very convenient. Café Brown was only about a 1-minute walk away, and getting to the city centre by tuk-tuk took around 5 minutes and cost about $1.50. Overall, a very nice stay with genuinely friendly staff and a good location. We would happily stay here again.

The main things we didn’t like were the broken lift, which made getting to the 4th floor a bit inconvenient, and the poor sound insulation. The wooden windows and doors facing the street let in quite a lot of outside noise, especially at night.
