Our stay at The Newt in the New Forest was exceptional from start to finish. From the warm welcome at reception to the fantastic service around the outdoor pool, everything was simply stunning. The kids felt genuinely welcomed and acknowledged throughout the stay, which made such a difference. They absolutely loved both the indoor and outdoor pools, while we could relax with a drink and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The food was amazing, with delicious flavours, excellent service and hardly any waiting time. The cocktails were also absolutely stunning! We didn’t visit Martha’s restaurant this time, but the food looked incredible and we’ll definitely be back to try it on our next visit.

Honestly, there was very little to fault. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we genuinely struggled to find anything that could have been better.

The lovely Manor House and surrounding buildings had clearly been recently refurbished and have been finished to a very high standard. The outdoor pool was the best I have ever seen in the UK. It was heated to a lovely temperature to enjoy in late September, had a kids and an adult pool, as well as an abundance of very comfortable sun loungers to sip rosé served from the pool bar. Food was excellent in both restaurants, served with a smile. Make sure you try the famous Caesar salad made at your table!The classy bar overlooking the grounds was a great place to end the evening. Make sure you take a walk to the end of the lawn to while away the time watching the yachts glide in an out of Lymington harbour.

We stayed in the dated apartments, We knew this upon booking. Views were stunning , large and airy rooms and good kitchen area. Balcony was lovely overlooking the Solent. New pool area is amazing. And all the new updated areas are lovely.

The check in process was similar to that in Faulty Towers, they had lost our key to the apartment. Think they may have some sort of bugs as a couple of my friends had bites. Some staff were great but I’d say the majority weren’t particularly helpful. We asked for some ice at the pool area, having brought a £50 bottle of luke warm wine, was advised by the lady at the pool bar that we would have to wait 30mins for a colleague! I decided to get dressed and head over to Martha’s to get my own. Steam room at the Spa was out of order, no windows inside, so I found it quite depressing.
