The Dragonfly Inn

Breakfast was fabulous. Great options and good facilities. Our room was lovely and spacious and the bed was comfortable. We stayed in the Georgia and the bath was a wonderful delight, especially after a cold night.

The air conditioner unit was very noisy. Had to turn it off as it kept us awake.

It’s a beautiful historic Victorian house up on a hill with a nice view over the city. Clearly, the owners have put a lot of love into preparing it for their B&B concept.

Mild criticism/observations: The B&B "concept" is through self check-in and even though everything is beautifully arranged and prepared you don’t meet anyone, not the owners, no staff. Nobody 😆. Especially for breakfast we found the system of detailed written instructions on how to prepare the food a bit too tedious and cumbersome. Especially the 8 step process for boiling an egg using the electric egg preparation machine. If you're in a hurry for an early flight like we were , this do it yourself concept is not very practical. It would be more enjoyable and easier for the guests if there could be a person helping prepare and serve the breakfast. At the price level it should be possible. We stayed in the “Audrey” room. It is cute, a former living room I think, but there are some quirky things about it: a huge corner is taken up by an oversized bathtub that you probably won’t use. And the toilet is essentially inside a cupboard. 😆 Alll good though, overall. And recommended without hesitation.

Bright and cheerful. Open dining room was lovely.

The fridge in the doorway obstructed movement

Such a fabulous experience. Next level. Loved the coco room.

I can’t think of anything.
