Location over looking the pond and close to the wedding venue

The cottage was well thought out, with great facilities and nice furniture. There were useful books and leaflets about exploring the local area in the living room and a pint of milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge. There are lots of opportunities to walk in and around the village. We weren't sure if we were allowed to use the garden behind? It would have been useful for our dog, but it appeared to be connected to next door.

Booked through booking.com, but managed by Sykes, apparently they can't pass contact information, so it is up to the customer to request key collection information. This information was provided, but was buried in a very long, generic, automated message, so I missed it. Everything was very clean and tidy except the oven, the shelves were very greasy to the touch and we had to clean it before use. There was only a tiny amount of watered down washing up liquid in the kitchen and a very small amount of hand soap in the bathroom that we had to water down for our stay.

Great location, spacious and comfortable accommodation with outlook onto village pond

the whole ambiance was lovely, the interiors looked fabulous, location was great

the shower over the bath .......claw foot bath LOOKED amazing but it moved underfoot when standing in it for shower, the plastic curtains kept the water out but as they were too long they held onto soap and therefore made the floor of the bath very slippy...quite dangerous! the bed was awful, there is enough room for a superking sized bed and it really doesnt cost that much to put a non lumpy mattress on the bed
