The view is amazing and the bed was very comfortable. Balcony with view of San Sebastian was also incredible. It's a 3pm check in but despite reviews that said to the contrary we were able to check in a bit early. Very handy that there was a fridge in the room. The funicular up and down was cheap and fun and we like walking so were happy to walk into the city along the sea front. It's fun going on the rollercoaster and boat ride in the amusement park next to the hotel. The pool is fantastic and loved sitting on the cabana day bed - the pool has a great view and was really quiet. Lovely toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion.

We had breakfast in our room sat on the balcony due to the price of the breakfast and the reviews of it. It was frustrating there was no kettle and it takes a lot of time to get enough water for a cup of tea out of the pod coffee machine. (and the machine is noisy). There was noise from a room above us who got up to leave the hotel at 4am (probably just unlucky). The hotel is VERY expensive. A dressing table would be handy.

Amazing views and front reception staff were exceptional

I was ready but you need to catch a taxi when you want to head into the main dining precinct.

The location and views are absolutely spectacular, easily 10/10. There is plenty of parking close to the hotel, and the normal €3 entrance fee to the parking area is waived for hotel guests. Our room had all the amenities we needed, and both the air-conditioning and mini fridge worked very well.

The hotel doesn’t live up to its spectacular location. Our room was functional but rather sparse and lacked warmth or character, and the soundproofing was very poor. Service was slow and inefficient, and we didn’t find the staff particularly friendly. Breakfast was particularly disappointing. The selection was small and virtually identical every day, the coffee wasn’t good, the scrambled eggs were very runny, and the cooked eggs had turned green. On our second morning they had run out of yogurt more than an hour before breakfast ended. We actually brought our own cheese and pepperoni to breakfast. Overall, the hotel feels like it needs some TLC. With this location and these views, it could be an exceptional hotel, but the experience currently falls well short of its potential.
