SOL by Meliá Puerto Marina

Loved the location, the cleanliness and the daily entertainment. Also no shortages of sunbeds. Didn't have any meal there, so can't comment on the food. Also a very handy supermarket, gift shop and laundry room in the hotel, which was useful. A games room and gym, though we didnt use those. A lovely short walk to Benalmadena Marina. Great pubs and cafés on doorstep and hotel is located adjacent to the beach., with a code to use the gates. A taxi rank outside the door if you felt like going anywhere and seemed as if you could hire mobility scooter from the hotel . There were definitely charging points for them .

In our studio apartment, the shower was in the bath, which was quite slippy to get in and out of. Thought it would be all walk in showers. Also balcony very small, just enough for a table and 2 plastic chairs. These were just minor niggles as studio was perfect apart from that.

A really nice hotel in a great location! Friendly staff who paid attention to every detail. Very impressed overall and we had a great stay. Would absolutely return in the future and recommend to others!

Closeness to the beach and marina. Didn’t have to wait for a table at breakfast even though it was busy.

The kitchenette in the room was very dated. The decor was also not great. The bedroom and bathroom had badly painted skirting boards etc. Just very tired/basic looking. No full length mirror in the room. Plenty of wall space to have one. So only had small mirror in the bathroom. You are paying for the location of the hotel rather than a nice room.
