Relais Balcone di Giulietta

Perfect location and room was really nice

Weren’t the best at communicating through bookings.com. They didn’t reply to my messages which created a lot of confusion when entering the property. Besides that the room was nice and once we finally did make it to the property the staff were really nice.

We booked Relais because it was close to the opera and near Juliets balcony. We had no idea that it was in the yard with the balcony – very pleasant surprise. Really nice, accommodating, helpful staff and great room. We will be back to spend more time in beautiful Verona.

Relais Balcone di Giulietta was a wonderful property and we loved it there. The staff was absolutely delightful, very helpful with dinner recommendations and reservations and just very, very pleasant. The room was beautiful - very spacious and comfortable - from the color of the walls to the soft towels to the beautiful big bathtub, we wish we could have stayed longer. And of course having access to Juliette's balcony after hours without the tourists was a special treat. The relais is in a central/busy part of town (being by Juliette's balcony) but the room was peaceful and quiet, and it was nice being so close to the cultural center.

Honestly, there is nothing that we would change. It was our favorite place of our whole trip.

Spectacular location and beautiful room on the courtyard. Delightful staff and very nice rooms. Complimentary Prosecco and beers in the room was a lovely touch.

Given the price paid we would have expected significantly more value for money. This includes communal areas and breakfast options (neither are offered). Particularly shocking was the €30 fee for the right to use the jacuzzi on the roof (a major point in the hotel’s marketing is the jacuzzi and it was a shock to discover this came at an extra cost). On principle alone I resent a five star hotel charging extra to use its leisure facilities and I have never experienced this before. Finally fighting our way through a throng of tourists to access the hotel every time we wanted to come in and out was quite challenging and a little intimidating. Overall a shame as the rooms and the view was spectacular, the complimentary two bottles of Prosecco and beer was much appreciated on our honeymoon and the staff were lovely but we will not be returning.
