The rooms were of more than adequate size, the mattresses could do with being renewed. Modern bathroom with shower over bath (wish more hotels would think of the elderly & infirm installing more walk in or cubicle showers) Breakfast was excellent with a large variety on offer. The evening meals were well cooked & presented. Plenty of places to sit quietly & read.

Room spacious and clean.
Breakfast very good.
Family birthday dinner excellent.
Nice gardens and staff.
Plenty of car parking in a great location.
Very minor gripes...
Hotel a bit slow in confirming dinner booking,
Space a bit limited due to what looked like a great wedding (Oscar's seemed more like a bar/bistro than a brasserie).
Ground floor bedrooms a bit noisy at night due to wedding celebrations.
Machine coffee at breakfast not great.

Lovely well presented hotel clean bright and comfortable
Was annoyed we weren’t informed there was a function on, namely a wedding , when we booked. We wanted a nice early night ready for a long drive the following day. We would have found an alternative had we known.

The rooms were of a very good size and clean
We had to wait nearly 20 minutes for someone to come to reception to check us in. Even then I had to go and find someone to do this. Also had to wait ages for eggs at breakfast.
