Fishmore Hall Hotel and Boutique Spa

Food was excellent and good value. The staff was friendly and very helpful but was at the time short staffed

our Room No 23 had a nasty crack down the wall which we feel should have been sorted before placing customers in it. This room probably needs to be closed until its fixed. The pillows were not very comfortable and could need to be updated

The hotel was easy to find. I travelled by car from the south of England. My friend travelled by train from the north but we both found it easily. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. We had tea and coffee making facilities with plenty of products. We had lunch on the day of our arrival which was very good. The breakfast was also good. We didn't realise that the hotel did dinner at night and so we went into the town each night. The bar was quiet at night. We both took swimsuits as we assumed that the spa would have a swimming pool but it didn't. I guess we didn't do our research properly.

We had looked at the hotels own website regarding dinner and the wording made it sound as if they didn't do dinner during the week. On the last night of our stay we realised that they did do dinner and told them that the wording on their web site made it sound as if they were only open for dinner on a Sunday. The member of staff immediately sent a screenshot to the owner and this has since been rectified.

Location was ideal for a short walk into Ludlow. Large bedroom & large bed. Breakfast was nice. Dinner menu had great vegetarian options and the food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

There was nothing we disliked. The bedroom furniture could be arranged better, eg- the fridge took up space in the wardrobe. (Room 22)

The staff were pleasant and the room was acceptable.except there was insufficient items to put a toothbrush , No decaf tea or a biscuit as hotels provide and there could have been cups available for tea.

As for breakfast my wife asked for porridge which took 25 minutes to be provided, I asked for a cooked breakfast Of bacon beans and scrambled egg after 25 minutes I had cold beans cold scrambled eggs and thin bacon far from the standard I have experienced in other hotels, When I told a staff member and to be fair she did apologise And asked if I wanted another breakfast but I declined.
