Charlotte House Hotel

Continental breakfast was good. Location brilliant for Castle, Cathedral and historic city. Do bear in mind, it is at the top of Steep Hill !!!

Great location, comfortable rooms. Overall its very good for the cathedral and castle. The room was comfortable and spacious. Would happily stay again in future.

The hotel needs to decide if they're a hotel or a wedding venue, tried to book for next year (for the same event) and was told "you can book but your booking will be cancelled if we get a wedding booking". Also be aware there is no lift and no ground floor rooms.

We booked the hotel specifically because of its location and proximity to Lincoln Castle, as our daughter was graduating from the University of Lincoln at Lincoln Cathedral, which is nearby. I booked this room because it could accommodate all of us, but did not expect to walk into a suite. Two lovely bedrooms and a large bathroom, with plenty of space in each. The beds were very comfortable and the tea/coffee facilities were very welcome. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff who was very helpful and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. We very pleased to be told that as there were a few guests booked for the graduation ceremonies, they had moved the start of breakfast from 8am to 7.30am, so everyone could eat before leaving for the day. This made for a far more relaxed start that we had anticipated.

I can't think of anything that could be improved, apart from there only being breakfast available, no lunch or dinner facilities. That said, there are plenty of places within the complex where you can get food and drink, so it didn't prove a problem.

Staff were good. Nice comfy bed, water nice and hot, when available! Good location

Breakfast gluten free was catered for, but choice generally was the same everyday, there was different yogurts the first day but never seen again. It would have been helpful to have dirty dishes removed from breakfast table rather than have to look for somewhere to put them
