Glenan Lodge Self Catering

Nice spot and v well located for Cairngorms. Great cafe in village, serving super food and great view of Findhorn viaduct. Lovely old lodge. Warm and welcoming. You get a room. And shared lounger, kitchen etc with other guests. All very relaxed and chilled out. Room fine, spacious, bed v comfortable. Nice to chat with other guests in comfortable lounge in the evening.

A bit tired, not enough electric sockets. Will be updated over winter, but I hope that it doesn't lose it's charm.

I had a wonderful stay at Glenan Lodge. I was traveling alone and liked the idea of staying somewhere I would encounter other travelers. When I first arrived, I was surprised by how lovely the dining and living rooms were: tables with nice linens in the dining room and a comfy and inviting living room. And the communal kitchen was spotless, well equipped, and perfectly organized. My room was just right: cozy with a comfortable bed, an ensuite bathroom, a desk, a kettle, and best of all, a window that opened into the back yard where there were trees, birds, and rabbits. The owners, Katie and Sean are lovely, welcoming people and made me feel right at home. And the other guests were fun and interesting! The Lodge is situated in a perfect jumping-off place for local hikes, birdwatching, and sightseeing. I hope I have the pleasure of staying again in the future!

Not a thing!

Great to be able to use the kitchen as well as the lovely dining room and sitting room. Sean and Katie are very pleasant with high standards, there is a good selection of books and games as well as a small bar . overall a very comfortable stay and an easy half hour into Inverness.

The access road via the distillery could be better signposted

The red squirrels , herdwick sheep . The excellent shower .

Breakfast some items not freshly cooked . The uncomfortable room chair . No night light sensor at front door , returning at 10.30 ,pitch black .
