Room was very nice good bed good size room.
Unfortunately the water was not working properly so we couldn't shower. However having spoken to the manager this was resolved quickly and efficiently.

Very nice clean and new room
Only negatives are that they don't offer breakfast and there were three flights of very steep stairs to get to the rooms at the top of the building.

Staff were absolutely brilliant.
The curtains were too small for the window, super easy fix, c'mon. Add a fan to your rooms too, will make a big difference.

Parking hit and miss, and no on site breakfast but was aware of this beforehand

Extremely good for the price. The beds were comfy. The staff was amazing especially Olivia who helped with recommendations to do things in Brighton. It was a nice long walk to the main Brighton beach. The view of the sea from the small window was beautiful. TV had a lot of channels and had a kettle and instant coffee in the room.

Great location close by to family we were visiting. Parking on the front between certain times

The gather inn is perfectly situated for all aspects of the Brighton and Hove area and if you like a Dockland vista your in luck it’s got a great one
I’m not saying Becky on reception was anything but helpful. The dislikes are mostly limited to the rather cripton-factor’esk Wi-Fi signing in process that requires you to have the eyesight of a goshawk and the cunning of a fox, and the comedy mattresses, the latter could be easily solved as I notice a bed shop just up the road, I’ve popped in and done a deal (Alan sugar stylee) so I’m in-line for 4% commission. Every cloud.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Gather Inn was quiet and overlooking the seafront. 2.5 to miles into Brighton, and the time we spent there was sunny and very pleasant indeed. If you want a basic no frills place with friemdly staff and in a reasonable location The Gather Inn is well recommended.
No complaints at all.

Good price very basic but the price made it value for money. The staff were very nice and happy which makes a nice change these days. Food was great. The only thing I think they should change is the bed mattress it was very uncomfortable. I would stay again.

Staff friendly, view from room quite nice, only two flights of stairs, was quiet on our stay but you can hear people in and out using the night exit and stairs. Walk to Brighton Pier takes about 40 minutes but a nice stroll and lots to see. You can see watersports going on from the Hotel.
No-one around before 12noon. No breakfast available. Room very hot (a floor standing tower fan was provided but still too warm). Outside areas are run down and a little depressing. Towels were not great. 3 cafes nearby to get breakfast but one was closed Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday and the other one we went to was poor food. Another guest said hotel used to serve breakfast. Just feels a little run down and sad.

location and value was good
very noisy being next to the port. I was so itchy in the bed that I ended up trying to sleep on top of the duvet. I did not sleep well.

Had to ask for towel. Cups were dirty and still wet. Shower so tiny, I couldn’t bend to pick up shower gel on floor (no shelf for shower gel). No chair in room (for make up doing hair etc) overall very tired looking room and overpriced

The staff were lovely and the pub and food were great.
The room was clean and a great last minute planned stop over. There are a couple of very close options for breakfast too.
The mattress wasn’t the best as you could feel the springs and the sink and taps in the bathroom could do with replacing.

Nice comfortable room, bed and pillows were very comfortable. Often hotels have pillows are too high but these were good. No where to lock case up if you get there early though.
Could have somewhere secure to put case if you arrive early or need to leave it after you check out.

Friendly staff; easy check-in and check-out. Large bottle of hair and body wash - more environmentally friendly than lots of little bottles.
The water in the shower went from very hot to very cold at irregular intervals, for no reason.
Narrow hot drink options in the room - just basic tea and instant coffee. Herbal tea and/or hot chocolate would have been a nice addition.

Room small but clean with comfortable beds.
Thought the room would have been a little bigger.

Lovely property - great pub and simple rooms, that have most things you need for a stay.
There was a portable air con in the room which was a god send for the summer. The view of the Hove Lagoon was nice too.
Unfortunately the room we were in faced the lagoon, which was lovely however the road between us and the lagoon is a road that lorries and HGVs use to get to the industrial estate down the road. At night it is a little loud, but if your a deep sleeper like me it doesn’t keep you up all night.

Breakfast was not available. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the bar was good.
The bathroom was the size of a cupboard !! Uncomfortable and claustrophobic. Sitting on the toilet was very uncomfortable due to the proximity of the vanity unit. If you had been much taller it would not have been possible to sit down at all. Provision of 2 single beds against one wall.

Location - proximity to port businesses. Clean and functionally fine..
Receptionist attitude was rather brusk... The Deluxe sea view room was compact with a tiny window, and had to move the bed to get into the bathroom... No breakfast on-site, directed to the cafe over the road - this wasn't noted/obvious in the booking process..

The location of this hotel was great with close proximity to Worthing and Brighton. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel rooms are very dated and we were disappointed to see a yellow stained mattress on the pull out sofa leading to our wry tall teenager refusing to sleep on it and opting for the sheet over the unfolded sofa. This meant she was scrunched up to sleep. The bathroom was also dated and a few inexpensive fixes could have made it look and feel cleaner and well presented.

Nice room , good location, great decor. we had a twin room,
We had a twin room, but the beds were small singles, and the duvets were very small. We had guests constantly trying to get into our bedroom throughout the night. When we left , there was someone asleep in the hallway outside.

The Gather Inn was lovely and quiet with nice sea and lagoon views. It's also on a good bus route (the no.700 is the bus for anyone who doesn't know)
The toilet handle needed repairing, but the staff were really helpful.
