B&B HOTEL Lyon Nord 4 étoiles

Decent restaurant on site was great - we ate dinner there. Discount for hotel guests would have been even better. Staff on reception spoke both Spanish and English was a definite plus. Seemed to be plenty of parking, and the room was quiet and a decent size.

WIFI was absolutely awful, advertised as 'high speed' but it was barely usable. One reason we booked was because we needed to do some work in the evening but it didn't get done solely because of the lack of internet. This would probably stop us returning if we needed to work again. Our other bug bear was smoking, the smoking station was right outside the front door so whenever you went out or in you were covered in smoke as there always seemed to be people smoking. Also creates a poor first impression for non smokers like us. Accept the people have the right to smoke, but please re locate the smoking to an area somewhere non smokers don't have to endure it.

Perfect location for the motorway- good breakfast and clean good size rooms. Excellent staff.

Friendly and helpful staff. Large, comfortable room, good beds. Quiet. Plenty of free parking. Close to public transport. Large, clean swimming pool. Convenient check-in & -out hours.

This old lady is looking a bit tired - she needs a good coat of paint and some decoration. Unlined paper cups - apart from the fact that coffee/tea melted the paper, I expect quality china and glassware in a 4 star hotel. (We did eventually borrow some from the restaurant.) When I booked the room, it listed a coffee machine in the room, but there wasn't one. When I asked about it, the reception person immediately offered to change my room to an identical one with a coffee machine, but as my husband had already unpacked everything, we chose to remain in the room and forgo coffee. I did ask if we could just move the coffee machine to our existing room, but was told that wasn't an option. Housekeeping was a bit sloppy. The tiniest fridge I have ever seen!

The room was clean and the staff friendly

The service is for a 3 stars, not a 4 stars as indicated, but the hotel is of good value for money
