Lindsey was particularly kind, courteous and friendly!
Despite the weather, I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday stay on the island--my favorite place to be! (And this house is next door to the one I regularly rented and leased from a friend for many years. I love the location.
The shower head in the master bathroom was wonderful and therapeutic to my back and neck. I loved the decor and openness of the living area.
A couple suggestions: Since the view is restricted by houses and vegetation, pruning the tops of the shrub next to the palm (beautifully kept) would help. The heat seems to blow almost constantly even tho it's set on auto and it feels colder than the temp as if a fan is blowing on you.

This was our first time to rent with Forgotten Shores and we had a wonderful experience. Island Sand Dollar was a great choice for us. It's a smaller house with a bright, cheery and homey feel with everything we needed. Access to the beach is right across the drive. We would love to come back and extend our stay for a month next time.

The house it’s self was very nice.. loved the location. When we walked in it smelled that sausage had just been cooked the refrigerator and freezer had a extremely strong smell of fish and we couldn’t use the ice because it smelled of fish after emptying it for days. There was trash behind the couch water bottles and a spit bottle in the room with the bunk beds on the floor next to the lamp, small bugs and ants in the kitchen a hair clip still clipped in the master shower to the curtain and a bag of dirty towels under the steps. I don’t know if the guest before us checked out late and put the cleaners in a rush. So we cleaned (not behind the couch)and put more baking soda in the freezer and we had a great time and stay. Thank you for your offering to do a vanilla wipe on the fridge I probably should have taken you up on it but didn’t want to be a bother. It’s a great home and location that we enjoyed very much! Thank you ❤️

While this place is beautifully located, it is by no means equipped to handle 5, let alone 9, guests. After 2 showers there was no hot water and with only the bare minimum of devices connected, the wifi could barely load cartoons for our toddler. Recommend this place for proximity to the ocean, but "sleeps 9" is about all that 9 people can do here.
For $375/night on a Tuesday, basic essentials should not only be included but functional!

We booked this particular place because it was advertised as pet friendly. But en route I was checking if we had paid a pet deposit and saw a note that said they no longer allowed pets. So our dog stayed outside - which works for him as we have a good dog box on the truck. But there needs to be clarity on whether pets are allowed. Otherwise everything was perfect. Great location and well appointed home overall. Would definitely stay again.

Weather and Red Tide made this trip a little less than past experiences. The new deck had some loose boards/wood fillers and the house still needs some work. Up- Dating the fridge which had a leak and the clothes dryer which is rusted inside and on top making it hard to get clothes dry without getting rust on them. Over all house was in good order.

The house was great. Location was great. Just had to cross the street and walk a short path and there it was! This was our first vacation without all the big condos and mass people. This was so much more relaxing. Got to take the dog and she had a blast!

Location was perfect, easy walk to the beach. Enjoyed time in the hammock under the house when it was raining and looking at the view from the front porch when it was dry. Even going through tropical storm Fred we still managed to relax.

We had a great experience at island sand dollar, the location was almost unbeatable and the views were lovely. They also had a surprisingly well stocked kitchen in terms of cooking utensils which we appreciated. The only notes I would make are that the toilet in the master bath was painfully low and unsteady, wouldn’t recommend for anyone over the age of 40, also the cloth headboard in the master was not a good choice as it had several unappealing stains. Be aware as well that they only provide one towel per person and they are not good quality. Once again we had a great stay and I would recommend the house overall but for the price they should pay more attention to detail.
