Madrid Alameda Aeropuerto, Affiliated by Meliá

We stayed just one night at the Madrid Alameda Aeropuerto, but we really enjoyed our stay It's much, much, much better than a "standard" airport hotel, which can often be quite miserable places! Even the area around the hotel is quite residential, with a number of options for eating out etc To be honest, if we would visit Madrid again, we would consider staying at the Madrid Alameda Aeropuerto and simply catching the Metro or train to / from the city centre The hotel is much more comfortable, with much bigger rooms, and much better value, than most places you find in the city centre The breakfast was also really nice, and the breakfast room / restaurant was large enough not to feel overly full or busy The room was quiet, well appointed (maybe a bit dated, but nice and clean) and very comfortable

We were a bit unlucky when we arrived at Madrid Airport, because there was a long gap between the shuttle buses for the hotel. There was no bus between 19:05 and 20:20, which seems a bit crazy to me. Maybe it's the time when the driver eats his dinner or something?! :-) But the shuttle bus in the morning to get back to the Airport again was perfect - no problem with that

Exceptional reception staff

Exceptional value and location when need to reach airport in a very short time

The staff were incredibly helpful far exceeding expectations. Help me with impossible tasks. I think this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at

The room had AC. The beds were comfortable as well as the pillows. The staff at reception was friendly. They have a shuttle from the hotel to the airport (not sure if they have it the other way around).

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The pictures of the pool area are extremely deceiving (Why not show it as it is?). The room had a glass with water still in it- did they not clean or was water left after they washed it? The bathtub also had random hairs where if they had carefully cleaned, they would have seen and cleaned them... Unsure about how well they clean rooms.
