Bella Beach Hotel

Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at Bella Beach. The hotel is quite old, but it is beautifully laid out and has a charming, traditional Greek atmosphere that we really liked. The food was outstanding and probably the biggest highlight of our stay. There was a great variety every day, including many Greek and other interesting dishes rather than just standard buffet food. We stayed in a sea-view suite and the view was fantastic. The hotel grounds are also excellent for families with babies: there are plenty of paths for walking with a stroller and we found the property very stroller- and accessibility-friendly. The beach is beautiful and, in our opinion, Bella Beach has the nicest and widest section of beach in this area. There are some rocks when entering the sea, although there is one section with an easier entrance. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the housekeeping manager, who handled a problem we had extremely professionally and personally made sure that our room was cleaned perfectly afterwards. Overall, despite some issues, we really enjoyed our holiday and left with a positive impression.

The hotel is showing its age and some areas would benefit from renovation. The private pools attached to some rooms in particular looked quite dated and more like large prefabricated plunge tubs than modern private pools. Our biggest problem was with one housekeeper. As we were travelling with a 9-month-old baby, I mentioned that the floor was not clean enough for a baby crawling on it. She disagreed, and when I showed her dirt and dust from one of the corners, she became very upset, raised her voice and started angrily banging chairs and doors. This was completely inappropriate. Fortunately, her manager handled the situation extremely well afterwards. We also asked reception several times for a baby bath. We were repeatedly told that they would check and get back to us, but nobody ever did, and we spent the entire stay without one. We were eventually advised to bathe our 9-month-old baby directly in the bathtub, which was not a practical solution. Although most staff were friendly, service could sometimes feel unnecessarily rushed. In the restaurant, plates were occasionally removed almost immediately, sometimes while there was still food on them, without asking whether we had finished. Smoking is allowed throughout the outdoor areas, which was particularly unpleasant when travelling with a baby. At times we had to walk through significant cigarette smoke just to get to the restaurant. Coffee was another disappointment. Most areas only have automatic machines with poor-quality coffee. Proper espresso was available at one bar, but only later in the day. The capsule coffee machine in our room was actually much better. During our late-September stay, the clientele was predominantly older and the evening entertainment was quite limited. The Greek night with traditional dancing was very enjoyable, but most of the other entertainment was rather basic. Finally, the beach daybeds are comfortable, but only a limited number provide proper overhead shade.

Everything thing about this vacation was perfect, i took my wife to celebrate her birthday 5 nights at this hotel, we liked everything all exclusive great food amazing facilities great location, literally no complains

This is a solid choice for people who would like to have a nice all inclusive resort at a great price. Facilities are very nice, rooms are of good size. Beds are comfortable. We got upgraded to the sea view, so it was very nice. Parking was free.

Even though the buffet had a lot of options, the quality of food was below of what I am used to in all inclusive hotels. Also, even though the beach was right there, the waves did not allow us to enjoy the sea as much. We actually drove a bit to the place that had part of the ocean behind the wall without wave, which allowed us to enjoy the ocean better. The evening entertainment program was something we really feel the hotel should improve.

The food was great, buffet was very extensive and various. Main bar was terrifict, bartenders were generous with the alcohol in the drinks, the drinks were also OK but most of alcoholic beverages were not included in all-inclusive. (Inluded were vodka, whiskey, gin, rum, cretan beer).

The room for this money was not worth it. We booked the room with as it was on the website "One Very Big Bed" it was in fact NOT one big bed, it was 2 small single beds pushed together. After telling the staff about this, they placed a thin mattress over the two beds to make it seem like one large bed, but the beds still moved apart, leaving an uncomfortable gap between them. The offer stated that there were 4 swimming pools, but in reality there were 3: one was a children’s paddling pool (30 cm deep), another was located inside the building in the spa area and was probably subject to an additional charge (despite the all-inclusive package), and the third was the main outdoor pool (1.4 m deep).
