This is a modern, comfortable hotel against the mountains, with a waterfall a few minutes walk up the road. The staff everywhere here were exceptional, creating the special combination of attentive service with a relaxed and friendly manner. We did find our stay expensive, but this is Iceland. Dining was excellent. The hotel is well-located for exploring the beautiful glacier area of South East Iceland where we found accommodation harder to find than other areas.

Clean rooms. Heated floors in the bathroom for a cold day. Breakfast was amazing!
The showers - it is not designed well so water went everywhere. Towel warmers would also have been a nice touch.

The restaurant at the hotel is fabulous! Best nice dinner we had in Iceland.
The hotel has a wonderful vibe, the bar area is super cozy and inviting. Our room was comfortable and clean.
We loved it.

Close to town
You book hotel and then find out it’s greater than $100 cheaper. But, by that time you can’t cancel because you lose your money if you cancel. Don’t book ahead of time.
Very expensive hotel. No breakfast included.
