Lake view from the room was lovely. Heated floors made for happy feet! Spacious bathroom. Comfy bed. The staff was excellent and friendly. Good on-site restaurant for dinner.
Bathroom could use more hooks. Another chair in the room would have been nice. Very expensive per night (the most we've ever paid in 45 years of US and Europe travels) in the shoulder season for a comfortable but not luxurious room.

We visited Iceland for 10 days and this was one of our favorite places we stayed! The view from our cabin was exceptional and so serene, we just loved it. The cabin was clean, modern, and well-appointed. The breakfast wes exceptional and the staff were lovely. We are recommending Magma Hotel to all of our friends who plan to visit Iceland.
This isn't a "negative," but just noting that some of the cabins -- the ones with the best views! -- do not have parking right in-front. You have to walk a short distance. No big deal, just noting this for those with mobility issues. I think most of the cabins have parking right in-front.

Comfortable rooms
Very basic, everything from IKEA, for that value I expected much more. From the pictures looked better.
