The Mirador Boutique Town House

Ambience is great. Had a great experience.

A unique venue which deserves its excellent review rating. I chose to stay at The Mirador because of the customer feedback and it didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and welcoming with a bed that provided that all important comfortable nights sleep. The in-room facilities and continental breakfast were fabulous. I was on a trip to help my daughter move out of her flat after her Masters Degree so the ability to take my breakfast with me was a huge plus! Communications from Philip and Jeanette were excellent and really helpful. I was made to feel very welcome. Thank you again for a lovely stay, albeit a brief one.

There was nothing I didn’t like

What a little gem. I stayed at The Mirador Boutique Hotel last night, in the Egyptian Suite, and this place has something that far too many hotels have managed to lose along the way: personality. The room itself was brilliant — atmospheric, quirky, warm, peaceful and completely different from the usual identikit hotel experience. The Egyptian theme could easily have gone too far, but somehow it just works. It feels thoughtful rather than theatrical, comfortable rather than contrived, and after a long day it was exactly the kind of place you actually wanted to retreat to. But the real magic here is Phil and Jeanette. These two don’t just “host” you. They make you feel genuinely welcome. Their warmth, humour, candour and slightly mischievous way of communicating give the whole place a character of its own. No corporate nonsense, no bland hospitality-speak, no feeling that you’re just Room 6 checking out at 10am. They clearly care about the experience they’re creating, and that comes through in everything. Even the goodbye had personality. There was Casablanca, there was Hotel California, there was talk of adventures ahead — and somehow it all felt completely natural rather than overdone. That probably tells you everything you need to know about The Mirador. Of all the hotels in all the towns in all the world, I’m pretty chuffed I walked into this one. I left rested, smiling, slightly spoilt and honestly a bit reluctant to leave. The Mirador is warm, eccentric, intimate and memorable — and Phil and Jeanette are exactly the sort of hosts who remind you why independent hotels can be so much more special than the big chains. You can check out any time you like… But yes, annoyingly, they may actually be right. A little bit of The Mirador does stay with you.

All was more than fine so nothing at all to complain about - apart from me only booking one night instead of more as it was so good
