Old Swan Hotel

Location is key.Hotel lovely but very dated and some places could do with a good clean.Second time we have stayed and at breakfast was the second time we actually had to go and ask for tea and coffee for breakfast.Boys seemed happy to do very little while girls seemed to do most of the clearing.One boy waiter this morning went way beyond and helped a gentleman who was struggling with everything.He looked after him so well,making sure he was safe at his table and seated correctly.It made my heart sing to watch this young lad being so attentative.Felt he deserved a mention.

Dining room needed a really good clean.Radiators needed a really good hoover and wash as did carpet.I tend to look at all this as that was my job many moons ago and part of our daily job after service was to hoover,dust and wash the dining room.Much room for improvement.

Didn’t find anything to dislike, yes it’s old but that’s the appeal

Great location with a lovely early 20th century atmosphere and ambience.

Expensive bar prices.

Very attractive building and well located

My bathroom on first floor needed upgrading. Rust in plughole was off putting. Breakfast on second morning was very poor as yoghurt and fruit ran out an hour before breakfast ended. Initially staff were unwilling to refill the bowls of fruit etc.
