Hotel du Vin & Bistro Harrogate

It’s in an excellent spot, very vibrant Bistro. Very helpful staff.

This hotel is now looking very tired. The paint is chipped on all the doors as you pass them. Our room was cold. Reception couldn’t get the radiator to work, so she kindly brought us two heaters. The towel rail wasn’t working, there was mold at the bottom of the shower screen, and the bath was old and didn’t look very clean.

Loved this hotel. Staff went above and beyond, very comfortable rooms, lovely beds, dog friendly as well and all the staff were so sweet to our dog which was great as sometimes “dog friendly” means “dogs tolerated”

Nothing, I would stay here again in a heartbeat

Location, spotless easy parking

Shower in our room would benefit from grab rail fitted unsafe for older guests .

Lovely bar and staff we encountered were very helpful. Room was nice, lovely decor and bathroom was lovely- we especially liked the freestanding bath and a great sized bathroom. Bed very comfy. Good location for town.

Room (basement studio) was very hot and there seemed to be no way to regulate the temperature. When we arrived the window had been propped open with a wedge as it wouldn’t stay open by itself. The worst thing was that the room opposite us had a dog- the owners came back at 2am (on a Monday morning) crashed and banged for an hour and a half and the dog barked throughout this time and kept us awake so had a really terrible nights sleep. Really disappointing (I am a big dog lover too!) We managed to get parking at the back of the hotel which was great but it was a bit of an ordeal to find the location. If the instructions had included a What3Words location this would have been so much easier.
