We were made to feel very welcome by all of the staff. My husband has a slight disability and could not manage the 2 flights of stairs. Our room was changed to a more accessible room, which was lovely.
We have stayed at the George and Pilgrims many times over the years. I'm pleased that a major refurbishment is planned and that the character of the George and Pilgrims will not be changed too much.
Staff are very friendly and professional.
Food was very good.

Lovely old pub in the centre of Glastonbury with history
We stayed in a top floor room and it was suuuuuuper hot in summer. No air conditioning, of course, and fans were provided, but windows barely open (they don't open more than 10 cm due to safety locks) so it was not possible to get the cool night air in. I think that they should have at least a better ventilation system put in if they are to be rented out in July/August
