What a fabulous find, right in the heart of the Peak district. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and the complimentary prosecco and beer were a real treat. Breakfast were delicious as was the evening meal we had in the restaurant. The complimentary packed lunches were great for our hikes. We would definitely stay here again. Brilliant weekend

Excellent location - easy to find off main road in quiet countryside village with lovely views and walks directly from village. Brilliant staff, great food, packed lunch really nice touch - dogs welcomed.
Have stayed in both main hotel and annex lodge. Room 5 was quite noisy as over the kitchen/dining area but all quiet after 11pm through the night. Not a big issue just an observation.

My wife is gluten free and from the start they ascertained it was my wife and from then on every waitress and server seemed to know and dishes were modified to suite a real personal service and excellent food.
Room a little hot during the heat wave I am sure if I had thought to ask for a fan it would have been supplied
