Mantra Parramatta

The bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent for the conference I was attending. I used the TV and that offered a crisp picture. I appreciated the bedside lights.

Why have a stove-top without any pots or pans? The shower curtain was not very effective with water sprayed across the bathroom. The check-in process took a very long time, waiting in a queue with no staff at the front desk - perhaps they all had their break at the same time...

Great stay! The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was convenient and close to everything. Would happily stay here again.

Very comfortable and spacious room, good breakfast although a little on the expensive side.

I had to travel to Sydney suddenly as my dad had a heart attack. I wasn’t sure how long I was going to stay so booked two nights which was roughly $379. On the day that I found out he was not going to make it I went to the reception to book another night. The receptionist told me that another night was going to be $430 something. I asked why one night was more than the two nights I had already booked and she said that it was because there was a NRL game on. I shared with her that I wasn’t there for an NRL game and that my father was going to die today. She just shrugged and said sorry for your loss but there’s nothing I can do. I told her I’d stay somewhere else and left. Later when I came back after my father had passed away I went up to my room exhausted ready to lie down, and my key didn’t work. I went back down to ask why and get it sorted. Upon meeting another different person they asked how my day had been. I shared with them the events of the day and they didn’t offer any sympathy just a dry sorry for your loss. There was no free breakfast added in or anything that could have made me feel a bit more comforted and supported while I was in another country with no family and having just experienced such a traumatic event. I wouldn’t choose to stay there again. Also might I add I went and stayed at the Novotel which is much closer to the stadium and they weren’t price gouging.
