Unfortunately te bad outweighed aby good and the after sales service i thought was alright took a nose dive when an agreed refund still hasnt been paid a month later

This hotel prioritises events above hotel guests The noise from an event downstairs cohld still be heard gone 1am then started again again 6am with some sort of dj dance fitness class. Staff can do absolutely nothing about it! They also allow event guests to continue partying outside reception area til 5am despite a customers complaint! Rooms were unclean, towels had some sort of blood on them, no lights worked other than 1 bedside lamp. And the window may as well be made of toilet paper because it was blocking out no noise and you could feel the air blowing through the edges. The customer service after via email seemed to be going well and a partial refund was offered and accepted but still yet to receive a month later and now im being ignored

Very poor DIY check in, with no customer service. There is no reception desk or smart and polite staff to welcome you. Basically it’s a desk with 6 terminals and a bloke in a scruffy t shirt there to help if you get stuck. You have to check yourself in and make your own key…..when doing this your room number briefly flashes up on the screen which you have to remember, no card to slip key in with a reminder of your room number. Cafe at hotel very scruffy. No phones in room, so when at3 am neighbouring room was still partying after 2 hours and continued in corridor it was difficult to get hold of security or reception. Basically I had to scramble for my phone, find number of hotel ring this, which takes you to their switchboard by 2 menu systems to speak to someone in the middle of the night….very unsafe. Breakfast was poor quality food used and no bacon….they ran out! This hotel used to be excellent, but now they are so poor.

the room could of done with a good clean. we callled the manager up to our room to look at to which she took photographs. very bad lighting.cobwebs, sweet papers under bed.carpet could have done with a good hoover.

breakfast and speed of check in

colour scheme in the rooms and corridors seemed very outdated bit scruffy with patches of paint missing on doors etc. radiator smelly when turned on. needed to get extra towels as not enough for two guests. very dark and dingy look to rooms when we entered.

The staff are what made my stay great. Unfortunately the event I was attending at the hotel changed venue at the last minute to a different city so we couldn't go, the staff went out of there way for us they even gave me a bottle of wine to cheer us up and let us use the pool facilities for free . The room was very clean and spacious and the bed very comfortable . In the bar and grill the food was very tasty and very big portions. There was plenty of parking. Just across the road there were a few shops that included - pound stretcher, next discount , marks and Spencer, matalan and b&q there was a couple of others aswell but can't remember what. There was also a family restaurant with a park , chip shop and a tesco next to the retail park.

Nothing I didn't like.

bed was really really comfy, staff friendly

the food from the bar is very expensive. price for a room is more expensive if you travel solo rather then as a couple. have to pay for parking

my room was dusty, bed side lamp was broken, bathroom was dirty, towels smelt like they was washed with chef clothes
