At my request I had a room for disabled people and the room was outstanding in every way.
I asked for sandwiches in the evening and they were delivered to my room and very nice too.
The breakfast was as good as any other first class hotel, and wonderful service.
Nothing could have been better, even the car parking was perfect, an exceedingly good value hotel.

It was quiet, easy parking.
Comfortable lounge, nice breakfast setting.
Altogether a welcoming hotel
The pillows on the bed were most uncomfortable however I could hear asked for different ones.
Instead I went and bought my own which led to the second night being a good night’s sleep.
The first night someone was knocking loudly on a nearby door plus a few loud voices in the corridor.
I believe a party at the hotel not the staffs fault.
Just inconsiderate guests.

A convenient and budget-friendly option for our one-night stopover on the way back to London.
The room interior and hotel facilities fell short of the usual Mercure standard. The room felt outdated and shabby, and a full refurbishment is definitely needed.
