Acca Palace - AA Hotels

Great location 5 min walk from a huge supermarket & tube station. Staff were super helpful and very friendly. Beds are so comfortable, had a great night sleep.

Clean and good room

Even when you pay by credit card they charge you a 50 euro deposit upfront for potential damages. I never had this done at any other hotel and shows a serious lack of trust in their clients. Also, they should then refund the deposit immediately after checkout which did not happen. This looks like a money making scam to me.

Polite staff, great buffet breakfast options and lovely garden.

Hidden city tax charge wasn't made aware of at time of booking.

Close to the metro

The toilet started leaking, and it was clear from the stains on the toilet and the floor, among other things, that this was not the first time it had happened. There was a slight smell of sewage. They fixed the leak, but there was still a slight smell afterwards. I liked that it was close to the metro, although the area felt a little out of the way. However, I have no major complaints about the location. Overall, the hotel was good, apart from the toilet and the bed. The double bed creaked and was very worn out. We had to sleep as far to the right as possible to avoid being woken up every time we turned over. The left side of the bed was also badly sagging, creating a downward slope. So, the toilet and the bed were the main downsides.
