convenient central location, walking distance to restaurants and shops, 10 min walk from moving walkway for direct access to Hikage ski lifts. very friendly staff, always willing to help. warm room. lots of attention to detail (e.g. full suite of amenities for going to local public baths available). parking on site, sheltered. not too expensive.

beds are starting to get a bit old and would need renewing.

Usually hotel rooms in Nozawa are cold but this hotel was very warm, which is great in this region. The location is great, right next to the city center.

The place has nothing really special. No onsen and western style rooms (in Nozawa, it might not be what you are looking for).
