there was no hot water in the shower, no tea/water facilities in the room (but there was a water dispenser on the way to the houses close to the pool)

Das sogenannte Jungle-Haus war klasse. Faultiere, Tukane, etc. direkt in der Anlage (vielleicht hatten wir Glück), Halbpension echt ok.

Rooms could do with a refurb - clean and comfortable but decor could be better. Didn’t detract from an enjoyable stay.

the property is simply stunning and the restaurant served my favourite food of my 3 week long trip (the waiters and waitresses were lovely too). There was wildlife all around (sloths, monkeys, bats, birds etc) and the pool was lovely. The hotel backs onto the best beach in Peurto Viejo (in my opinion) and I really can’t fault the place, other than that we are aware our room wasn’t as nice as some of the others (but I guess we probably paid less!). I can’t wait to stay again!

Great food menu and pool facilities

We had one of the two bedroom apartments facing the beach which was very large and comfortable. My wife and I then moved into a smaller two person room which was also very comfortable with attractive decor.

The property is very nice to walk around with lots of wildlife. Pool is gorgeous and location is fantastic - right across the street from Playa Cocles. The staff are friendly and food is pretty good. We really enjoyed renting the bikes and riding around Puerto Viejo.

Amazing accommodation, very luxurious! The staff (especially Jose) were always kind and helpful regardless of the requests. The breakfast was great, the dinner as well (4 courses, with three options for the main one). The pool was clean, usually not crowded. There was a gate that leads directly to the beach.

I have mixed feelings about this place. We booked our whole stay in this resort, but when we realized it was too far from the airport we tried to shorten our stay as our flight back was very early. I called booking.com to modify the reservations. They sent several requests to the property but never got an answer till after few days. At first they declined my request to check out early and then they accepted but they were to "penalize" me for $50.

The food at restaurant was ok.

The area is beautiful and by the beach and jungle. Food is good but pricey. Due to it being far from the city center you have to eat there, the taxis in the area are not reliable. Wifi was good.

Bike rental is way too expensive. Plus the staff does not really care about you, only about getting paid soon if you order something.

I loved being in the jungle and spotting wildlife and the location was great!

I specifically asked for a quiet room, yet I was right next door of a construction site...couldn't sleep,lots of banging, and drilling was very unhappy about that.

Dont go there. Filthy, shaggy, mold, dirt everywhere - walls, lapms, bathroom, windows, holes in the walls, tiles fallen off in the bath, i am in shock. Long Way to the beach, the beach is like a mud pool, you need to drive to find a restaurant, rooms are dark, but you can still see the dirt, small windows, no sea view at all, family bungalow is an apartment, you can hear the neighbours conversation and footsteps, doors and floors are noisy, no noise insulation so you hears the cars at night and neighbours going to the toilet.
