I ws so disappointed with this booking. Very basic accommodation. No backup generators for rooms so could not use TV / wifi in rooms - which is a problem for winter months. We got to dinner at 7pm and felt pressurized to leave by 8pm as they wanted to pack up. Food was expensive and below par for a wine estate experience. Breakfast very average too. They also do not accommodate “dairy free” - no nut based milks. Most upsetting was the lack of “warmth” for such a property.

Set in the picturesque Tulbagh valley, this property boasts stunning features, spacious rooms and excellent amenities. The staff are also super helpful.

I liked the beauty and serenity of the place. me and my son had steak... it was perfect... big ups to the chef.

no wine tasting on Sunday and Monday... hah!!! and that is at the heart of Winelands

Beautiful location, great staff, really enjoyed how the hosted us and how simple and peaceful the farm is. They were happy to accommodate us in any way we requested.

best location, amazing wine, lovely people! we will go back and bring friends!! time at the pool and the terrace was unforgettable.

Absolutely beautiful location. The lodges are private, very spacious, clean, and well equipped. The beds are comfy. The grounds are beautiful and the eco pool tranquil. Staff friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was good but because it’s located a little out of town we ate there and the food could be much better. Didn’t have some of the choices on the menu both nights and what we did have I would only rate 5 out of 10.

Back up electricity so they can cook the meals and coffee they offer in the menu. Internet not very reliable or fast. Netflix on TV account was not paid and not working.

Heidi and her Teams service deliverances was 10 out 10. We had a problem with our bath tub during the late hours of the night, Heidi was alerted by the security team, irrespective of the time which was 23h42 Hedi made her way through to see that we were ok etc. The House Keeping, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Team were amazing, always serving with a smile . The meals provided were devine and were off excellent quality. They went the extra mile to cater for my daughter that is gluten intolerant. It was our pleasure to have met Adriaan Jacobs,, the Wine Maker of Rijks Wine Estate, during our Sunday stroll through the vineyard. He stopped by and offered for us to taste the grapes 🍇 that was ready for harvest ....delicious. I will definitely be back to visit my new found FAMILY, GESIN Vanessa
