Breakfast was excellent the eggs were cooked to perfection ( I am fussy about poached eggs)
The meals in the evening were also excellent. The Staff were knowledgable. about the food and the area (loved the staff here)

It is nice that staff actually provide a service and put the effort in to acknowledge you as this is very lost now. It's an amazing location and very pleasant pub.
The room we stayed in is a bit tired now, we've been many times. It's still acceptable, but the extra touches are minimal now as well - the toilet roll is awful and the pull out bed for our children is on its last legs. With the price we pay it is disappointing that breakfast is so much and so minimal. You don't get any all you want continental anymore, it is all pared back.

Excellent location. The double room I was allocated was small but adequate. Breakfast was ok although lack of items you’d normally expect (cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc)
The heating in my room was stuck on at a high level due to a broken thermostat. Despite reporting this at breakfast I returned after a long day out to find nothing had changed and no message left to explain what efforts (if any) had been made to fix the problem or find me an alternative room. Therefore I spent a hot and uncomfortable night despite having the window open.
