The staff were some of the most friendly and hospitable staff I've come across at a hotel. They couldn't do enough for us.
The room was nice and the location was perfect to travel to and from Durham. Brilliant price too. My parents ate at the restaurant and raved about the food.
Only minor things like the bathroom door lock and my side lamp didn't work but nothing worth shouting about.

Great location, only 5 mins or so into Durham city centre by bus.
Bus stop directly outside helps.
The guy who checked us in was super friendly, and very welcoming.
There is a bar on site and a separate Indian restaurant. We didn't use those facilities so cannot judge, but looked tidy enough.
It cost us £90 for the night, when other places in the area where in excess of £150 so this was a great find for a cheap sleepover.
Bed was a bit hard, so didn't get the best sleep on our ensuite toilet, although clean... was fairly stinky! So I don't know if there's an issue with the drains!.
