Location - close to Beamish museum.
No frills pub stay, comfortable, evening meal and breakfast cooked to order and very tasty. Friendly and attentive landlord and staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable
It’s an old pub so some of the carpets, fixtures and fittings are a bit worn but it’s clean, basic accommodation.

Lovely basic facilities, food was lovely & great portions….the breakfast was very nice too & plentiful …. the landlady was great 0& very friendly & nothing was too much trouble

Excellent Breakfast, good food for evening meal. Excellent real ale, friendly staff. Only a few minutes from Beamish museum which was the purpose of our visit.

Excellent food and friendly staff but place needs a serious make over. Bedding clean. Good location for visiting Beamish Museum.
Mattresses horrendous, need replacing immediately. Decor throughout very tired and needs updating. Needs a good deep clean. Garden completely overgrown. Towels stunk of smoke and strong smoke smell in public area
