Trade Winds Hotel Antigua

An absolutely lovely hotel to stay at. The Reception Staff were amazing - so helpful and responsive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, with a really wide range on offer to suit everyone and the bar served a great rum punch and a nice cold Carib! The rooms were lovely and spacious. The pool was a welcome relief in the heat! We liked it so much that we went back on our travel home day as we had quite a few hours to kill between flights and it's only a short cab ride from the airport.

The hotel was very clean and well facilitated, the restaurant around the pool had a stunning view of the sea and sunsets and make excellent lobster salads and cocktails, but it was the warmth, friendliness and generosity of the staff who went above and beyond that made it a wonderful place to stay.

I loved the views and the meals were lovely too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Place was lovely and clean. A little walk to the beach was a good way to get exercise, though uphill was a bit tough

I would have rated it higher if there were not so many steps down a gradient to the hotel room. Especially if one's getting older. Didn't have much luck with the coffee machine, but the Nescafe coffee sachets were tasty. The safety box had no instructions so we never worked out how to use it.
