Friendly and clean

Clean and comfortable family room. The staff were very friendly and well-organised. The hostel itself has a nice vibe to it, with a good mix of families and student-type travellers. The location is excellent for seeing the city. Breakfast was simple (bread or porridge) but plentiful. Parking worked very well.

The bunk beds are a little on the small side if you are travelling with larger than normal kids. Our son is 1,90m and the bed was quite a squeeze for him. You're in the middle of the city, so if the windows are open it's quite noisy, but with closed widows you hear hardly anything.

Nice hostel in the city center. Great position, clean and the room nice.

Breakfast was a bit minimal

The room has a bathroom and a shower. That is a plus. There are curtains for every bed. That is a plus. Location is fantastic. Taking the day tours in front of the hostel is very convenient. Galway tour company is having tours taking off from Kinlay hostel. The main bus station is 5 min away and the train station is only 3 min away. During my stay unfortunately I left my power bank in the breakfast room and it is taken by someone. Manager did his best to find out who has taken it. That was very kind of him. I think to discourage people from stealing they should have something written in the breakfast area like „there are cameras in this area and do not take unattended objects“ On the positive side again. Common area is very good. Breakfast is also thought well.

For me the worst thing was how the outlets are placed in the bed area. It is looking downwards and it is almost impossible to charge comfortably especially if you are using also a converter. In the bed area there were also usb entrance sections which is great. But the light is too strong and it is impossible to notice their existence. If I could habe charged my power bank in the room I was not going to lose it. I think overall this will be my last hostel experience and it was for sure the most expensive one.
