Octopus Resort

Absolutely wonderful beautiful location on a pristine beach with unbelievable snorkelling right in front of the resort. Room was clean and comfortable, the food was good and there were always vegetarian options, the staff were excellent. We really enjoyed the village visit. Kayaking was available at high tide (while we were there, after lunch), which my kids really enjoyed.

Everything.

The only slight issue was a slight lack of assigned sun beds on the beach. Also the pool was the focus for boisterous children, but this is a family resort so fair enough.

Super friendly staff, lovely resort layout with a restaurant overlooking the beach, excellent food and authentic, comfortable bures.

The only disappointment is at the bar which seems to run on Fiji time. Mostly the staff don’t seem to offer to take a new drinks order until they have completely finished making the 4 cocktails of the previous order. So you stand there and stand there until you give up and just fill up your water bottle. Given that everyone wants to have cocktail when at a stunning beach bar, a few more bar staff would help when it gets busy. Or at the very least, take customer orders so that customers can go sit back down whilst they wait for their drinks.

Great welcoming staff, friendly, always smiling and accommodating. Property sits right on a beautiful beach with great snorkelling. Omakassi meal was a real indulgence and treat! Food was really good quality! Visiting the church and being part of the service was a real privilege. The choir sung in such harmony with heavenly voices! Don’t miss if you’re there on a Sunday!

Wish we knew they only ran the manta tour on Tuesdays, would have booked accordingly
