Great location and views, friendly and helpful staff, and good value for money

Could maybe do with an update, but I visited for nostalgia, so I was happy anyway

Location and fabulous view

No hanging or bench space in the bathroom. As we left early we had to leave by the fire exit. Was very dark. Lucky we had a torch.

It’s a really lovely location, stunning views and beautifully clean and nice rooms. The staff seem friendly, food is available and there’s a big bar with live sport at times.

The hotel does nice breakfasts but doesn’t cater much for Coeliac people. My brother asked a few times if the food was gluten free and was assured yes but still he was given something that wasn’t. He got ill from that. The breakfast area had a guest that was loud and chatted to everyone. Not all people want a show at breakfast. On 2 occasions there was a music event held at the hotel, that went on for hours and was extremely loud and could be heard in the rooms. One evening a private event was on and no dinner was available to the paying guests that night! We weren’t informed there was no food that evening. I just believe that more thought should be given to the residents at times. I found it a bit upsetting . Car parking is also a problem here.

Shocking parking. No one on reception on arrival. Very noisy.
