The location was fantastic — perfectly situated right next to the main beach areas and just a few minutes’ walk from the beautiful old square. It was incredibly convenient for exploring the area, with everything we wanted to see and do right on our doorstep. The staff were also wonderful — incredibly friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. Shuttle bus stop directly outside the apartments so easy access to train station and bus station.

Sadly, there was a lot we didn’t like about our stay. While the location was excellent and the staff were friendly and welcoming, we were ultimately very disappointed by the accommodation itself, particularly because the room we received did not match the images advertised when we booked. The property felt extremely outdated and, in places, poorly maintained. There were visibly exposed electrical wires hanging from the walls, which we found particularly concerning. In our roof apartment, the supporting beams appeared to have been cut around the shower, which surely raises structural concerns, and they were covered in black mould. The bathroom also had an unpleasant smell whenever we entered, and there was very little natural light, making the room feel consistently dark and damp. The balcony was also very run-down, with broken and smashed plant pots. More importantly, the view was completely different from what we had expected based on the booking photographs. The images showed a lovely balcony overlooking an old-town street, whereas our actual view was of a partly demolished and extremely run-down building. At night, this was particularly unsettling, as part of the building was directly beside our balcony and contained what appeared to be a random room. Some of the wall sockets were also loose and actually came out of the wall when we tried to unplug our adapters. The windows and doors were old and tired, and although the air conditioning worked, the unit was partially broken and rattled loudly, making it difficult to relax. The bed itself was adequate, but it certainly did not provide the most comfortable night’s sleep. We appreciate that this was one of the more affordable options available, and we were not expecting luxury. However, we still expected the accommodation to reasonably reflect what was advertised and to be safe and well maintained.
