Castle Hotel

Beautiful old property. Good size car park. Perfect location directly across from the castle and short walk to river. Only 10 minutes from Brands Hatch race track. And short distance from Lullingstone Roman ruins and castle. Room was lovely and clean.

plenty of choice for breakfast

Nothing

The ambiance and decor of the public areas and my room were charming. I liked the gesture of a slice of cake which was very welcome and delicious. The selection of teas and coffees together with a kettle and coffee maker were really good and high end. A big mirror which is often missing from hotel rooms. I had an excellent night's sleep in the very comfortable bed with a fantastic pillow. The breakfast was superb. A great choice and very well prepared, even the table setting was charming! Very pleasant staff. I was able to get a late checkout too.

No hand shower in the shower and the water was absolutely scalding hot and turning the hot/cold control made no difference at all. I had to stand at the edge of the shower and wave an arm or leg in as quickly as possible. I realise that the fitting are in keeping with the style of the premises but........

The character and staff of the hotel Food was good

Room was small and tired Small bathroom
