We received a warm welcome from our Host Simone as we arrived after a long days walking on the Via Francigena. She was so helpful to us and gave us advice that helped us make the best of our stay in San Gimignano. The location was excellent just around the corner from some lovely little restaurants. The room and the accompanying sitting and kitchen area were delightful. And the little balcony area was the cherry on top. We were only staying one night but it is one that we will remember with fondness.

the room is spacious, nice restaurants just right at the corner. The host, Simona, is very friendly and really helpful. She even asks her dad to drive us to drop at the train station,Poggibonsi.

Beautiful room in a gorgeous old building in the northern part of the walled city. Simona, our host, was lovely. She was very informative and gave us lots of suggestions and helpful directions and information. She was a great communicator. The kitchen was available for tea, coffee, and snacks. The view out of our windows was beautiful! Situated very close to Parcheggio 3 with lift access up to the walled city

Very central location, yet in a quiet street. Freshly renovated apartment with 3 rooms sharing a large kitchen. Very friendly welcome by Simona.

It was not a problem for us, but there are some stairs to climb.

Location was great, stonesthrow away from the maon square in the village. The staff were very helpful: they told us were was best to park our motorbikes (public street parking around the corner from the property), and they allowed us to have a late check out.They also recommended us a couple of places where to go for dinner. Clean and well taken cared of.

The room wasn't the same that we had booked. The decoration was old.

Clean and spacious rooms with access to fully equipped kitchen. Also centrally located close to Main Square and a short walk to the car park. Simona was a fantastic host. When we got lost at the car park, she drove her car to where we were and lead our car to her apartment to offload our luggage. Then she escorted us back to the car park and thereafter walked us back to the apartment. She is a strong lady as she helped with bringing our luggages up to the 3rd level where the rooms were located. She later lead us to a local restaurant for lunch. When we checked out the following day, she helped us bring the luggages down and ensured that we drove out correctly to the main road.

Great host, very helpful, generous and able to stamp the pilgrim passport. Beautiful room with roof top view We enjoyed being at the top of the house, some people may find 40 steps a challenge with luggage. We would stay there again!

This was the best place we stayed during our 2 week Italy trip! The rooms are super cosy and clean. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the old time. What really made us love this place was the kindnesses and friendly demeanor of the owner.

Very good location, nice clean room, great small balcony for use (for 3 flats on the floor) and also kitchen with all equipment to be used which was very nice surprise!

Palazzo Mari was a great place to stay for 4 nights. The only issue some might find daunting is that it's on the third floor with no elevator, but beyond that, the room was beautiful and comfy (with nice views) and Simona was there to meet us and very helpful with getting us oriented. It is in a quieter location of the town. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a wonderful night staying at Palazzo Mari. Simona was welcoming and extremely helpful. The rooms were clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We would definitely recommend. If only we could have stayed longer!

The apartment was very spacious and well located. Simona was great with communications, super friendly and efficient, and we had no problems with baggage transfer (we were walking the Via Francigena).

Unfortunately there was a city-wide water issue where the acquifer emptied as we were showering. Luckily the problem was rectified in about an hour and Simona was able to provide a bucket of water in the interim. Another inconvenience was the restriction of aircon use overnight due to the noise disruption to neighbours. This made for uncomfortable sleeping temperatures during a very hot period. Otherwise, beds were super comfy!

We were delighted with our charming room in this gorgeous period property. It felt more expensive than it was; luxurious. Would recommend.

There are a couple of flights of stairs but it was no problem for us.
