Such a lovely, warm and comfortable place to stay. Easy parking, kitchen with all equipment and helpful staff. We would definitely stay again

This place will be perfect for many. The property is old, yes, it's true ... but John and Brian are absolutely "salt of the Earth" kind of people will make you feel like you're coming home after your day's adventures and will go out of their way to make you feel so at home and comfortable. The wood burner and open fireplace are cosy in the winter, the rooms are well set up with heating and the bathrooms are also very functional - two bathrooms ... I never had to wait. I was very, very happy with my decision to stay here and I'll be back if I come back to the area. Thanks John and Brian!

My partner and I both absolutely loved brunnerton lodge. It's a lovely small, personal place and we felt at home straight away. Not like one of those modern big hostels without a soul, but a small lodge, warm-hearted people and a beautiful garden. Very close to greymouth and the price was absolutely great!

The floors flexed a weird amount, felt like you might fall through.

We loved our room in Brunnerton Lodge, we had plenty of room and pretty much everything we needed to cook/live for the few days. John and Janine were so pleasant. Only a few minutes from Greymouth as well makes it a great location. I highly recommend staying here!

John is a super nice chap and really goes the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your stay on the West Coast. John also arranged for a relocation for us after completing the Papora Great Walk. Will be back.

hospitality was superb
feeling of freedom
everything was quite old and outdated. Main bed was loose on the screws. we found a cockroach in the bathroom.
