Hotel New Ueno

Ideal location for an early morning Express train to the airport. The room is in a secure building steps from a huge market and across the street from the metro, connecting you to the whole city. They also accomodated a late check out and stored my luggage for a couple of hours.

The room is very small with a slight smell, but had everything I needed and both the linens + the bathroom appeared very clean so I had no issue at all for one person one night.

Location, location. Very good to Ueno Station and restaurants. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Wonderful location easy access to Ueno park, I had a blissful walk in the morning. Lots of good food choices near by, easy access to transportation and different location. Staff are vert helpful and friendly. Welcome pack has chocolates, eye masks, sink care, delicious biscuits... really enjoyed the surprise treats. Bathroom is clean, shampoo and conditioner are high quality. Shower had the right power level, very comfortable. And really appreciated the shower is portable friendly for women. A lots of things can see the kindness and heart warmth of the hotel's approach to customer. very well considered.

It is really lack of space, furniture is a bit old. It would be better to remove carpets and change to wooden or tails floor, it would make the hotel feel much more clean and sustainable.

The location was great.

The pictures are inaccurate. The rooms are very crammed and with a triple room there is zero room to move around. It seems like a safety issue when you cannot move around the room without running into something. The room was beat up with holes in the floor boards where they had been run onto.
