Sheraton Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island, Fiji

Awesome resort, very friendly staff, great buffet breakfast, we stayed four days and that was perfect. You can walk over the hill to a deserted beach on the northern side. We were the only ones there! Good snorkelling, jetskis available and trips by small boat to other islands available. Most people were from Australia it seemed with numbers of Americans, Kiwis and several other countries. The setting is spectacular with excellent views across to other islands in the group.

The staff are so lovely and friendly. The resort is small and doesn’t feel crowded. Aqua aerobics was lots of fun. Didn’t want to leave!

Only a minor point but the live music in the dining room was a bit loud. The singers were amazing but we were sat close by and had to move as it was overwhelming.

Location, staff

The stay was peaceful, and although the weather wasn’t very good, we were still able to relax and enjoy some time to unwind. The staff were friendly, but whenever we asked questions or requested something, the answers we received were often contradictory and inconsistent. There seems to be a lack of professionalism, and it felt as though there were no clear protocols in place for the different services. You often have to ask or request the same thing several times before anything is done. If you’re looking for a resort to celebrate your honeymoon or anniversary, I wouldn’t say this is the best choice.

What I didn’t like about the stay was that we weren’t allowed to do any water activities, even when the sun came out and the sea was calm. The massages were also disappointing. They mainly apply oil and put pressure on different parts of your body, but it didn’t really feel like a proper massage. They also put so much oil in your hair that it gets greasy. The buffet food leaves a lot to be desired, although the Indian cuisine was very good. On the positive side, the pillow and mattress were very comfortable. However, the shower pressure was extremely poor, and it took me a long time to wash my hair.
