We're regular customers - we stay here twice a year when visiting Newcastle. The Aparthotel is a great budget self-catering option with basic facilities, and is located beside Jesmond Metro and within easy walking distance of Ouseburn. This time we got one of the nicer apartments on the first floor of the building, which had a full complement of crockery and cutlery. The check-in staff at Holiday Inn were friendly and helpful as always!
The decor is a little tired, but that's hardly important. My only gripe is that the electricity only works when there is a keycard in the holder, so one of the two supplied keycards has to be left in the flat at all times if you want to run the fridge.

Used no 91 a couple of times and it's always been great value with parking included
The bedroom was at the front and the traffic from the busy road outside soon gets noisy .
The parking bays in the carpark are small and when returning after an evening out I had to park next to a pillar and climb out the back of the car .
Nothing that would stop me booking again !

Convenient for what I needed
Good coded and CCTV security to enter the property
The fire escape/door was open on arrival giving public access to the building which meant that strong security at the main door was effectively useless.
I advised reception staff who said it was used when people went outside to smoke but they should close it again.
I closed it, but the following morning, cleaners had opened it and wedged it open with cleaning fluid bottles. I advised reception staff on check out and it was responded as being common practice.
